The Cleveland Dragon Boat and Flats Oxbow Associations proudly present the 2010 Cleveland Dragon Boat Festival. Last year's festival was an awesome event, and we are looking forward to even more excitement in 2010! The Extreme Dragons hailing from Pittsburgh, PA were Festival Champions with Steel City Dragons, also from Pittsburgh, finishing Second overall at the Festival. The Mov'n Dragons from Marietta, Ohio took the honors as Champions of the Survivor Division! Check out 2009 Festival photos here:

The Festival will be held on Saturday, August 7, 2010 on the West Bank of the Cuyahoga River in Cleveland's historic Flats. Opening Ceremonies will take place on the patio deck of the Historic Powerhouse, 2000 Sycamore Street. Races will be held immediately following the opening ceremonies and continue throughout the day. There is no admission fee for spectators and ample parking is available.
The Festival will also promote the people and unique cultures of Cleveland's Asian community.
Dragon Boat racing incorporates high energy, fitness, team building and recreational exercise in a fun and competitive atmosphere! It is an excellent recreational sport for men and women of all ages and fitness levels. Individual strength is less important than teamwork, coordination and cooperation.
Dragon Boat racing is an exciting event for participants and spectators alike. The sport is growing in popularity throughout the world and is an excellent team building activity for friends and co-workers.
By participating in the Cleveland Dragon Boat Festival, you will help in supporting the community programs that support cancer survivors. All net proceeds from the Festival will be donated to The Gathering Place. The Gathering Place is a caring community that supports, educates and empowers individuals and families touched by cancer through programs and services provided free of charge.
